Being a host family for hosting international student is an exciting and rewarding experience. It is a great way to learn about a new culture, exchanging cultural knowledge, and an opportunity for building a long-term international connection from your home.
As a host family, you will be required to treat the international student as one of your family members while they study at a local school. During the hosting period, you will help with the student in learning about the American culture, making new friends, and practicing English. You will provide an immersive family experience for the international students, including daily meals, transportation to school, and even taking them on short trips with you and your family. At the end of each month, you may record your memories with the students with photos and words. We will make a monthly report to document and share the memories with the student's parents. The experiences and perspectives that you share with the student will become an invaluable life lesson, and will remain with the students for the rest of their lives. The memories you make will always be connected across continents. We provide constant coordination between the student's guardian, host family, the student's legal parents, and the school. We will ensure the student's safety and effective communicate to resolve any issues that might occur. |
